On Monday we went to the Museum and learned about Maori technology. When we got there we listened to Anthony and Marisa. We got into our groups and went with Anthony. He told us about a story about a green stone taniwha. The green stone taniwha was afraid of only one thing, the sandstone taniwha. One day the green stone taniwha went to New Zealand. When he got there he saw this lady and he fell in love with the lady straight away. Then he took he as a hostage so that she would love him. They went around New Zealand but the ladies husband was following them. Then they came to a river and they went to the top of the river. The husband wanted to kill the taniwha but before he could the taniwha turned his wife into green stone. There is a myth where every time the river floods a piece of green stone come off the green stone lady. Kia ora, I am a student at St Francis of Assisi School, Welcome - Haere Mai. To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - Begin with a greeting. Talk about something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A comment that will mean something to me to let me know you read/watched or listened to what I had to say. - use any language.
3. Something helpful - Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
Encourage me to make another post
